Today is my husband’s birthday. As I mentioned in my previous post, I wanted to get him something special, something to make up for the salt and pepper shakers he received from me for Christmas, especially since he gave me such a generous Christmas gift.
We have two cameras, and both are partially broken. My husband brought the Canon Powershot with him on a business trip (south America) and wanted to take some photos. Upon returning from his trip from South American, the view finder was crushed. It was such an awesome camera, very compact and took nice photos.
With the other camera, the Olympus, well, my husband dropped it and the battery closing panel, or whatever you call the part that you close once you insert batteries, does not close. What a pain! This camera takes awesome photos and I use it all the time for photographing jewelry pieces. But that’s about it.
With this new camera I purchased for his birthday gift, I purchased the extended warranty. The salesperson told me that my husband could run the camera over with his car and return it in hundreds of pieces, and he would get a new camera. No questions asked. Needless to say, I purchased the warranty. So, for the next fourĀ years, I have no worries. The camera is covered.
My husband won’t be opening his gifts until this evening. So if any family members or friends of Steve is reading this entry, mums the word, ok?
Happy birthday, sweetheart.
Happy birthday, Stephen

Hey Jeanette! I hope he loved the camera! I just got the D5000 for Mother’s day and love it so far! We opted for the extended warranty too which we usually don’t….so far with two little girls, it has almost been dropped twice and we haven’t had it that long! Hope his day was great!
Hi Kara,
You’re another one that received this very same camera for mothers day! My friend Cindy, with Sweat Bead Studio also got a D5000 for Mothers Day. I haven’t had a chance to try it out myself yet, but can’t wait.
