As you can see my wordpress blog has a new look. The prior design wasn’t the finished product and having trouble figuring out what we wanted to do, I, along with Andrea, with Mystic Computing, decided to leave it alone for a while. I knew I wanted something light, clean and fresh looking but was having trouble finding the right header that would pull everything together. I decided to browse Etsy as I always do when I need to have any marketing materials created, and found Amy with Bead Sprout Studio. Her banner and logo designs caught my eye immediately when I visited her shop. She had created a one-of-a-kind logo that caught my eye and I knew this would make a perfect header for my wordpress site. Fresh, clean, warm and with a touch of color. I purchased the logo from Amy and I had her modify it so that I could use it as my header (I also had Amy design my business cards and some labels). Then everything else fell into place. Andrea, my wordpress programmer, was able to envision exactly what I was envisioning and finish my wordpress blog-and I am so happy with it.
I am so lucky to have found such amazing, creative ladies to help me out.
I am going to feature Andrea as a guest “speaker” on the fundametals.net blog within the next week or two and have her answer a bunch of questions pertaining to blogs and websites, the difference between going with a wordpress blog orĀ blogspot (as an example) and how to choose which would work best for you? Lots of answers to many questions. I personally believe the programming is the most important aspect to designing a site, and if not done properly from the beginning, you are going to have lots of trouble down the road. In the meanwhile, if you would like to contact Andrea directly and inquire about possibly having a wordpress blog designed for you or perhaps moving your blog to wordpress, please contact Andrea at Mystic Computing, her own hosting company. Besides my site, Andrea just finished reprogramming www.sweetbeadstudio.com which was recently attacked by a horrible virus.
And lastly, I am having Amy with Bead Sprout Studio design an add for an upcoming publication. I think it’s awesome and I will share with you the finished piece once it is completed. Amy can create logos, banners, business cards and much more. Please visit her site for more info.
I didn’t mean for this post to sound like an infomerical! I am just passing along some gems that I found and wish to share with you.
Now, I return to the original purpose of this blog, wire and metal jewelry…Lets start Monday.
Have a great weekend!
Jeanette
PS. The photo does not pertain to today’s post but I needed to insert a photo as we continue to make a few adjustments to blog. This is my sweet little girl, Teagan.
