MY BLOG IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Hello everyone! I hope everyone has been enjoying the holiday season! It’s been a while since I have updated my blog and I am happy to share with you today the holiday ornament exchange that I participated in. Sally Russick, with Wire Worked, matched us up with a partner for the exchange, and I was partnered with Tamara Soper from Handcrafted Baubles. I enjoy working on petite projects such as bezels, pendants, earrings, and charms, and creating a handcrafted ornament falls right into this category.
I was very excited when Tamara’s packaged arrived. At first, I didn’t know it was her package, but thought it was a package of beads that I had ordered a short while ago, and put the package aside. After a few days, something was tugging at me to look at the package again, and when I did, I noticed it was my package from Tamara! I quickly and excitedly opened the package and unwrapped a beautiful beaded ornament with colors of gold, clear crystal and pears. It truly was a beautiful ornament that would sparkle from the lights reflection. Thank you, Tamara, it hangs on my tree, front and center, and I will always cherish it. Happy Holidays to you!! (Unfortunately, my photo does not do this beautiful ornament justice).

And for my ornament to Tamara, I created a soldered glass pendant. The pewter bird charm hanging from the bottom of the charm was created by mamacita. She creates lovely pewter charms and her bird charms are my favorite! And I was to discover, after Tamara received my ornament that she had a “thing” for birds, I was so happy to hear this. Wishing everyone a very happy holiday, and a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year! Underneath the image below is the list of other participants!

Love both of these! Those pretty beaded beads and That lovely solderd pendant I’d be happy to have both on my tree!
These are both so beautiful! I love the sparkly earth tones of Tamara’s ornament and the colorful image of yours. The picture you used evokes a time when there was more magic to the season. Just lovely!
Hi Jeanette! Hope all’s going well! I love the sparkle and shimmer of Tamara’s ornament. Anything glittery will get me.
And, your ornament is just perfect! It makes me want to practice my soldering! But, of course, I’d have to put away all the other project starts! haaaaaaaaaa
Merry Christmas!
Jen
Jeanette,
Your ornament is so lovely, and evokes wonderful childhood memories of Christmas. I’d love to learn this technique one of these days.
Thank you again Jeanette for the beautiful ornament you made for me. the side you’re showing is my favourite and yes I love the little bird.
So glad you liked the one I made for you, I had fun with it….

Jeanette, The Santa ornament is beautiful, the colors are so vivid! It’s perfect! I see this and want to break out the soldering tools! I bet the ornament catches the Christmas lights so nicely!
I hope you are doing well and THANK YOU so much for taking the time to join in on the swap/hop! Have a very Happy Holiday!!!
Jeanette – lovely! I adore vintage postcard images, and that is perfect. I have used that same Mamacita bird – shame it wasn’t on a piece for me!
Did the back have an image? Just wondered. Lovely as always! Have a great Holiday season!
Your beautiful ornament is just so delightfully vintage! I love it
And being reversible is just so wonderful! You both did such lovely jobs!
Oh, Jeanette, I love the ornament you sent…the soldered glass component is gorgeous with a sweet, homey, vintage feel…love the addition of the bird!
Both ornaments are beautiful.
The soldered pendant that you created is really amazing-I love it! I also really like the birdie charm and little wire nest. Very well done, a beautiful treasure for Tamara’s tree!
Miss Jeannette! It does my heart good to see you here! What a sweet and sentimental ornament you created. I love the birdie – Mamacita makes the most lovely things! And that ornament from Tamara is so pretty and sparkly, like tinsel on a tree. Merry Christmas to you!
Enjoy the day!

Jeanette, your ornament from Tamara is beautiful – I love the beaded sections especially…and I we both used the same color schemes with our ornaments for this swap! I know this will add an extra sparkle to your tree this year.
And I LOVE the soldered ornament that you made for Tamara, with the added dangle – all perfect little details. You are the soldering Queen for sure!
So you found an ornament swap after all, how nice for you. Too bad
I didn’t know about it, I would have loved to participate.
Lovely ornaments!
OhMyGoodness!! The ornament Tamara sent you is really divine! In addition, your soldered ornament is absolutely beautiful. You did a great job with this swap in both what you received and what you made. I’m glad to have discovered your blog!
