flying around from my trees. I understand Halloween has come and gone, though these guys are still sticking around. Perhaps if I shout “Boo” really loud, I can scare them and they will fly home. If that doesn’t work, my husband will need to pull out the ladder this weekend and help them along.
For projects, I am still working on charms for two charm swaps that I am participating in. It’s getting close to the deadline, but I will meet it, somehow. And then, I am looking forward to focusing all my time on another project, but more about that one later.
In the meanwhile, I was given the Kreativ Blogger Award by Leslie with Bei Mondi. Even though I didn’t actually win a trophy or something like a $500 mall gift certificate for this honor bestowed upon me, I am told I need to share seven things that you may not know about me!:)
Ok, lets get right to it:
1) I am a huge Madonna fan. I’ve been to a few of her concerts, starting with her very first tour. I went alone because none of my friends wanted to go!
2) I have recently become a vegetarian. It’s a moral choice for me. What clinched it for me was after I read Eating Animals, by Jonathan Safran Foer . I have read several books on factory farming, but for some reason, this particular book really opened my eyes to all the injustices involved in factory farming..has anyone else read it?
3) I have a horrible sweet tooth. I can’t go a day without having something sweet. My favorite dessert or treat combination is chocolate and peanut butter.
4) I bumped into John Travolta coming out of a hotel many years ago. This was after Saturday Night Fever but before Pulp Fiction. And yes, his eyes really are that blue! Nice guy.
5) Before making jewelry and opening my own on-line shop, I use to be a meeting/event planner for the cellular industry. Overall it was a fun job, but I like what I am doing now much more!
6) The only time I watch television is when my favorite shows are on; Big Love and American Idol.
7) and I can’t start my day without a morning cup of coffee. No sugar, just milk.
Have a great evening.

Oh! I’m a huge Madonna fan too, but I’ve never been to any of her concerts…wow! and you actually ran into John Travolta…what a riveting experience! I do eat meat…but if the kids start talking about it of if I think too much about it…well it grosses me out!
Yeah! I still have Halloween decoration hanging around too, the kids just never want to see them go.
that was great! and my blow up snoopy is still lingering – every time i want to put him up in the daytime to dry him out, we have had high winds – i know i need to be more flexible and work with the weather, but if i get an idea i want to work with for jewelry, i get distracted! i too am a vegetarian and madonna fan – have also been to concerts! i saw gilda radner, very sweet as well… thanks for sharing!
So good to know these tidbits about you! The closest I ever came to “bumping” into a star was when I sold Bobby Darrin a package of Jockey shorts at a department store many moons ago!
Thanks for sharing your dark secrets with us. John Travolta’s eyes are dreamy! And who would have thought you’re a material girl. I congratulate you on going vegan. That’s a hard thing to do especially in the US with the large amounts of meat that we eat.
thanks for sharing a little about yourself. I hope to go back to my vegan ways. It really wasn’t that difficult and I did feel a lot better.

It was fun to learn more about you…great little bits that we wouldn’t have known about. I think I was only familiar with the easy one – about coffee! I ran in to Clint Eastwood when I was living in Monterey…he owns an events facility and was sitting there and looked up when I walked in…oh my goodness.
