The soups on!

by Jeanette on February 10, 2010

It was so much fun participating in the Bead Soup Party exchange hosted by Lori Anderson.

beadsoupThanks for all your hard work, Lori. With 80 participants, this was quite the undertaking! We are having a huge storm here in the DC area, so I may be losing power (again). Because of this I may not be able to visit everyone’s blog today and see their wonderful creations. Though, I will be making my rounds as soon as I can!

My Bead Soup Partner was Rickie Voges with Uptown Girl Designs. Rickie and I didn’t know eachother before Bead Soup, but after we were paired together, I visited her blog and noticed right away with both share the love of working with lampwork beads. I received a lovely set of boro beads, my favorite type of lampwork beads right now, and I pulled out my bronze wire, sheet metal and created a bracelet. The clasp, which was silver, I wrapped with bronze wire so that it all blended together. Thanks so much, Rickie. I have been wearing the bracelet all the time since making it, just love the combo of those beautiful boro beads and wire. Have fun everyone! Below is a list of all participants..!

I absolutely love this! Your wire work is perfect, and I bet it’s really comfortable to wear, and eye catching too!

I love those colors! Lovely bracelet. It’s a great combination of your work and the soup because I really can’t tell where one ends and the other begins. The clasp is perfect!

I love all the different elements in this bracelet! A very fun piece and your wirework really compliments the glass beads. Great job!!
